Installation Instructions:
✅ 1. Clean the Contact Surfaces Before installing the gasket, thoroughly clean the water pump contact surface and the engine housing to ensure: • No oil, dust, or old sealant residue remains. • Use a clean cloth or scraper to remove any debris, and wipe the surface with a degreaser to ensure it is dry and residue-free.
🔹 Purpose: To prevent poor sealing and ensure proper adhesion of the sealant.
✅ 2. Evenly Apply PTV Engine Sealant • Evenly apply a thin, uniform layer of PTV engine sealant to both sides of the gasket. • Avoid applying excessive sealant, as this may: • Cause poor sealing • Lead to sealant overflow, making future disassembly difficult
🔹 Note: Use specification-compliant PTV sealant to ensure high-temperature resistance, leak prevention, and long-lasting sealing performance.
✅ 3. Proper Installation and Tightening • Accurately align the gasket with sealant applied between the water pump and the engine. • Tighten the bolts according to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications to ensure even compression.
⚠️ Caution: • Avoid over-tightening, as it may: • Damage the gasket • Deform the contact surface, compromising the seal.
